Solar Active thread is embroidery thread that changes color in sunlight. Available in 7 white-to-color shades and 4 color-to color shades, you can use SolarActive thread just like any other 40-weight embroidery thread to enhance and embellish your embroidery designs. 

SolarActive embroidery thread gives the best impact when used as a fill or background stitch; simple lines do not show the color chage as dramatically. Use a combination of other Robison-Anton Polyester or Rayon threads in conjunction with SolarActive threads - that way, you'll have a great looking design indoors, with a noticeable element of "magic" when you go outdoors. White-on-white designs also work great -- any design that looks good in white will look great with Solar Active threads.

The color change effect of Solar Active embroidery thread normally lasts for at least 2000 cycles, which is generally the life of the garment. The color change effect will eventually fade, but even then, the embroidered design will still look great. Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low heat. Do not dry clean, bleach or iron directly on the SolarActive thread.
