Order Policy


By using the All Threads web site and/or placing an order with All Threads, you agree to be bound by the terms of this policy. But please don't let that scare you away -- we do our best to keep this policy as simple as possible, both for you and for us!

Ordering

We make it easy!

We prefer credit card and PayPal orders placed right here on the web site, but we also understand that some customers may not want not to enter their credit card information on the internet.

No problem.

Just fill your shopping cart and go through our secure checkout process, but select either "Call in Credit Card" or "Money Order by Mail" as the method of payment. We'll hold your order until we hear from you. To complete your order, call us toll free at 877-237-5954 with your credit card information, or mail a Postal Money Order to us at:

Payment

We're flexible!

We prefer credit card payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Additionally, we accept PayPal online payments. Note that if you use the PayPal "eCheck" option, shipment of your your order will be delayed by 3 to 5 business days - once we receive notification that the eCheck has cleared, we'll ship your order.

We no longer accept payment by personal checks or business checks.

We apologize for an inconvenience, but a rise in check fraud makes this change in policy necessary. If you are unable to pay using a credit card, we will accept a Postal Money Order by mail.

We do not keep your credit card information on file - this is a security measure to protect you and us.


Sales Tax

Uncle Sam wants his share!

We only collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in Missouri. The current sales tax rate is 5.475%.

If you are a Missouri business and will use the items purchased from us in your business, you may be exempt from sales tax. Fill out Missouri Department of Revenue Form 149 and send us a copy to keep on file. Also be sure to remind us of your tax exempt status in the "Comments" section when placing your order.


Order Fulfillment

Always prompt!

We maintain a complete inventory of items in stock and strive to ship all orders within 1 to 2 business days. Orders received on Fridays won't be shipped until the following Monday, and orders placed on the weekend usually won't be shipped until Tuesday.

We don't ship orders on weekends or postal holidays.

If shipment of your order will be delayed more than 3 business days, we will make every effort to let you know the expected shipment date by e-mail.

Backorders:

From time to time, we may be temporarily out of stock on a particular item (including one or more spools that make up our thread packages). In such cases, our standard policy is to hold your entire order for a few days until the item is in stock, or at our discretion, we may ship a partial order and then send the backordered items separately when they become available. If we ship a partial order, your credit card will be charged in full at the time of first shipment.

If you would prefer that we only ship complete orders, please let us know in the "Comments" section during checkout. If a backorder situation arises, we'll let you know by email and you can decide whether to cancel your order or wait until the backordered items are in stock.


Shipping

It's FREE!

That's right: There's NEVER a charge for standard shipping within the continental United States!

Effective July 16, 2011:
Due to ever-increasing costs, we are forced to add a $5 Handling Fee to all orders of $15 or less. Once your shopping cart totals more than $15 (after any applicable discounts), the Handling Fee does not apply.

We ship most orders via the US Postal Service (First Class, Priority Mail or Parcel Post) and we use UPS Ground service for larger orders. All orders are shipped with delivery confirmation or a tracking number so you can track the progress of the package in transit.

To help us contain costs and continue offering free shipping, we reserve the right to ship your order by the most cost-effective method available to us.

Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and other US Posessions:

Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico are generally NOT included in our "free shipping" offer. However, if your order can be shipped via the US Postal Service at a rate equivalent to shipments in the Continental United States, we will not charge any additional shipping. For all other orders, you will be charged for shipping based on weight and destination, and all orders will be shipped via the US Postal Service.

If you need to know the charge for shipping, please e-mail us for an quote before placing your order. Otherwise, we will add the shipping cost to your order before your credit card is charged.

Expedited Shipping:

If you "just gotta have it," we can arrange overnight shipping via USPS Express Mail or UPS Next-Day Air, at an additional expense. Just let us know your needs either by phone or in the "comments" section during checkout, and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

Undeliverable or Refused Shipments:

If a shipment is returned to us because the address you provided in your order is undeliverable or incorrect, you will be responsible for the full cost of re-shipping the order to a corrected address; we will contact you to obtain a correct address and approval for the additional shipping charge. If you choose not to have the order delivered again, we will refund your purchase price, less a restocking fee of 25%, with a minimum charge of $5.

If a shipment is returned to us because you refuse delivery for any reason (including "Return to Sender" instructions on the original shipment), we will refund your purchase price, less a restocking fee of 25%, with a minimum charge of $5. We will not attempt to ship your order a second time and we may refuse to accept future orders from you.


Returns

If it's not right, we'll make it right!

Most items may be returned in unused condition within 30 days of purchase, subject to the terms below.

Please call us toll-free at 877-237-5954 before returning any merchandise!

Thread Color Problems:

We want you to have the thread color you need, so if you receive a color that isn't what you expected, return it (at your expense) in unused condition and we'll ship a replacement color of your choice at no extra charge.

Unfortunately, we are unable to substitute or exchange thread colors purchased as part of a thread package.

General Exchanges and Refunds:

You may, at your expense, return (in new, unused condition) any items you have purchased. Items you return may be either exchanged or refunded, as you specify. Replacement items will be shipped to you at no additional cost. Refunds will be issued in the same tender as your original purchase and are typically processed in 4 to 6 weeks.

Defective or Damaged Items:

We try to ensure that all items we sell are defect-free, but sometimes a mistake will slip by. If you receive a defective item, let us know and we'll arrange for a replacement at no cost to you. We may require that you return the defective item to us, and will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label for the return.

If an item is damaged in shipping, please retain all packing materials and call us toll-free at 877-237-5954 so that we can arrange for a replacement at no cost to you. If the order was shipped by UPS, we will intitate a damage claim with them, and a UPS driver will probably need to see the damaged item as well as the packing materials.For items sent by USPS, we'll send you a return shipping label and will replace the damaged item once we've received the broken item from you.

Exceptions to our Return Policy:

Electronically delivered computer software (including embroidery designs) may not returned or refunded under any circumstance; software delivered via CDROM may only be returned if the CDROM package has not been opened.

"Special Order" items may not be returned or exchanged.
Currently, these "special order" items include: King-sized thread spools in colors other than White and Black; 150-spool Wooden Thread racks; King Spool Thread Racks; Polyester and Rayon "Top 100" packages and any other item listed on our web site as a "Special Order" item.
