These needles are the "flat shank" variety which work in nearly all home embroidery machines -- if your current needle has a long flat side, these needles should work in your machine. Consult your owner's manual if you're unsure.

Schmetz Embroidery Needles
	An excellent needle for machine embroidery with all polyester and rayon embroidery threads. This should be the only needle you require for nearly all your embroidering! These needles have a special scarf (the groove in the back) and a somewhat larger eye than regular needles, both of which help to prevent thread breakage when used at high speed in home embroidery machines. Size 75/11 is suitable for most embroidery on light to medium weight fabrigs; use a larger size 90/14 needle when sewing heavier fabrics such as a heavy knit or fleece. Schmetz "Metallica" Needles
	Simply the best needle available for use with Robison-Anton Metallic embroidery threads! Has both a larger eye for easier threading and a larger scarf (the groove in the back of the needle) to accommodate the larger size of metallic threads and prevent thread breakage.  We recommend these needles for use with all Robison-Anton Metallic embroidery threads.  5 needles per package, size 80/12.
